ABOUT US
Vahan Yantrons LLP is an engineering and contract manufacturing company based in Mumbai. We supply steering, suspension, wheel-end and axle components to trailer, agricultural, off-highway and marine equipment manufacturers across North America, Australia and Europe.
We engineer the component, control its manufacture at qualified partner plants, deliver it to the customer's line, and remain accountable for it in service.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Before any site visit or sample, every point of contact a buyer has with us is written. A web page, a quotation, correspondence, a label. The assessment he forms comes from that material, and it is formed before any technical discussion takes place.
Our readers are purchasing engineers, supplier quality engineers and owner-managers. They read closely and they verify what they read.
WHAT THE CONTENT HAS TO ACHIEVE
The objective is lead generation. Published material exists to attract qualified enquiries and to convert them into contact. Every page is assessed against that, not against how well it reads.
Four things have to hold at the same time.
- Search visibility. The words a buyer actually types belong on the page and in the heading. Customer terminology, not internal terminology.
- Answer engine visibility. Question-form headings, with the substantive answer inside the first forty words. Every sentence has to stand on its own, because an assistant will extract a single line and present it without the surrounding context.
- Sales establishment. The same material carries into quotations, capability statements and enquiry responses. It has to work inside a buying conversation, not only on a page.
- Technical integrity. None of the above at the cost of the engineering. Standard references, grades and tolerances stay in full.
It has to work across six markets. United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and continental Europe. Units and conventions change by market. Terminology does not.
HOW WE WORK
We have a written standard covering tone, reading level, sentence construction, terminology, units and heading formats. It runs to nineteen pages and is issued to whoever writes for us, so a writer is not asked to work it out.
There is real scope in this role to shape what a page says, how it is structured and what evidence it carries. The construction conventions are settled, and we would ask a writer to work within them.
The emphasis throughout is on technical accuracy and on statements a reader can verify.
WHAT YOU WOULD WRITE
- Website pages across six product ranges
- Product family pages, written so that a general reader and a supplier quality engineer each find the level of detail they need on the same page
- Technical and quality content covering inspection, validation and material standards
- Quotations, correspondence and enquiry responses
- Content structured so that a search engine or an assistant can lift a meaningful answer
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience writing for manufacturing, engineering or industrial clients
- Comfort working within a defined framework, and the judgement to ask rather than assume
- Confidence with technical terminology, material standards, grades and tolerances
- American English throughout, consistently
- Working knowledge of SEO and answer engine optimisation, and how they shape headings, opening lines and page structure
NOT REQUIRED
Brand storytelling, taglines, conceptual copywriting, design or layout. Prior automotive knowledge is not required, provided you can read a specification and ask precise questions.
YOU WILL NOT BE ASKED TO INVENT TECHNICAL FACTS
Every standard reference and material grade comes from a controlled internal document and is approved before release.
