I need a small, reliable tool that can read an exported WhatsApp group-chat file and turn it into an easy-to-read summary report. The report must cover two core metrics:
• Message frequency (daily and weekly counts so I can spot peaks and lulls).
• Active users (ranked list showing who posts the most and each person’s share of total messages).
A single-page narrative or table-rich PDF/HTML is fine as long as the insights are clear at a glance; no interactive charts are required right now. If the code is in Python, please lean on pandas for parsing and any lightweight library you prefer for generating the final document.
Accuracy matters more than fancy visuals. I should be able to drop a fresh .txt export into a folder and run one command to regenerate the report. Clean, well-commented code and a brief README explaining setup and use will complete the job.
I may extend this later to include keyword analysis, so structuring the code for easy add-ons would be a plus.
