3D Survey Modeling of Existing House
I am looking for an architect or 3D modeler with experience in SketchUp and architectural drawings to create a base 3D model of an existing house and its general placement within the property.
Project Objective
The objective is to create an organized and reliable architectural base model of the property, which will later be used to develop an architectural brief and explore different design and renovation proposals with other architects.
At this stage, NO renders, decoration, furniture, landscaping, complex materials, or detailed textures are required.
The house should be represented in a simple but accurate way, including elements such as rustic walls, ceramic floors, windows, exterior wall lamps, stairs, and other visible architectural features.
For the windows, doors, and glazed openings, a higher level of visual accuracy is required. The provided 2D architectural drawings already include the designs and details of these elements.
Available Material
The following materials will be provided:
Existing architectural drawings of the house.
General site plan.
Current photographs and videos of the property.
Additional measurements and clarifications when necessary.
Information regarding levels and existing site elements.
The professional should compare the available documentation with the current condition of the property using the provided photographs and videos and identify any minor adjustments that may be necessary.
The existing 2D drawings already reflect the current condition of the house quite accurately, so no major discrepancies or adjustments are expected.
1. 3D SketchUp Model of the House
The existing house should be modeled including, at minimum:
Exterior and interior walls.
Doors, windows, and glazed openings.
Floors.
Roofs.
Verandas and exterior areas directly connected to the house.
Stairs, level changes, and relevant architectural elements.
Exterior wall lamps and characteristic façade elements.
General heights and proportions according to the drawings and available survey information.
The objective is to create a model that is simple, accurate to the existing building, and technically useful for further architectural development.
2. General Site Modeling
The model should include the correct location of the house within the property, based on the provided general site plan.
An approximate representation of the terrain and its main relevant existing features is also required, sufficient to understand the context of the house and its relationship with the overall property.
This should include:
Property boundaries.
Location of the house according to the general site plan.
Existing driveway and access routes.
Main existing trees, with approximate locations and dimensions.
Relevant existing fences.
Stream located at the rear of the property.
Floodable green area near the stream.
Main variations in ground level.
Detailed landscape modeling is not required. The objective is to provide a general representation of the existing surroundings that clearly shows how the house is positioned within the property.
3. Site Levels
The terrain has some variations in elevation.
To simplify the model, a ±0.00 reference level has already been established.
The main changes in ground level and building elevations should be represented in relation to this reference level.
A highly precise topographical survey is not required at this stage. The objective is to achieve a sufficiently accurate representation to understand the relationship between:
house + terrain + levels + vegetation + property boundaries + stream.
SketchUp File Organization
The SketchUp file should be prepared so that it can later be used and developed by other architects, with proper organization of components, groups, etc.
The priority is for the file to be easy to understand, modify, and continue developing.
Deliverables
Original editable SketchUp file (.SKP).
Complete 3D model of the existing house.
General site model with the house correctly positioned within the property.
Main existing trees and other relevant site elements.
Property boundaries, fences, stream, and floodable green area.
Representation of the main site levels based on the ±0.00 reference level.
Properly organized SketchUp file suitable for further editing and architectural development.
Simple images/screenshots showing general views of the model for review.
Important
This project corresponds to a survey and base-modeling stage.
We are not currently looking for an architectural renovation proposal or a new design project.
The objective is to create a clear and accurate digital representation of the existing conditions, which will later serve as the base for developing the architectural brief and working on different design and renovation proposals for the house.

Available Material
The following architectural drawings and reference materials will be provided:
Dimensioned front elevation.
Dimensioned side elevation.
Dimensioned rear elevation.
Detail drawings of the interior arches.
Detail drawing of the bovedilla ceiling/roof system.
Ground floor plan.
Upper floor plan.
Roof terrace plan.
General site plan showing the location and position of the house within the property.
Approximately 60 photographs of the house, including both interior and exterior views.
1 interior walkthrough video of the house.
1 exterior walkthrough video showing the house and its immediate surroundings.
1 aerial video of the property, providing a better understanding of the house location and its relationship with the overall site.
The complete set of photographs and videos will be provided once the offer has been accepted and the project has been awarded.
This document includes a selection of sample photographs and reference materials so that the professional can understand the characteristics of the property and properly evaluate the scope of work before submitting a proposal.
Additional measurements or clarifications may also be provided during the development of the work when necessary.
The professional should compare the architectural drawings with the current condition of the property using the provided photographs and videos and identify any minor adjustments that may be necessary.
The existing 2D drawings already reflect the current condition of the house quite accurately, so no major discrepancies or adjustments are expected.
