I’m building an Android-only app that lets customers browse our services, lock in an available time slot, and leave a deposit before the appointment is confirmed. I will supply the full set of business rules that define working hours, blackout dates, staff skill levels, and any custom availability logic—your job is to translate those rules into a smooth, error-free booking flow.

Key functions I expect from day one:

• Real-time availability based on my rules, with instant reservation once the deposit goes through.
• Google Calendar two-way sync so new bookings appear on our shared calendar and any changes we make there update the app.
• Push and email reminders for both the customer and our in-house team, plus automatic handling of reschedules and cancellations (including refund or deposit-forfeit logic that I will outline).
• A lightweight in-app dashboard visible to our service-provider team only, showing today’s and upcoming appointments, customer notes, and payment status.

This release does not need a separate customer or admin interface; all interaction apart from booking happens on the service-provider side for now. The codebase should be native Android (Kotlin preferred), structured so we can later bolt on iOS or web fronts without rewriting the core engine.

Acceptance criteria
1. Bookings respect every rule I provide and never overbook.
2. Google Calendar events sync within 60 seconds of a change.
3. Deposits are processed and recorded via our chosen payment gateway; failed payments roll back the slot automatically.
4. The dashboard loads in under two seconds on a mid-range Android handset.
5. Full source code and build instructions delivered, along with a brief hand-off call when everything passes testing.

If this aligns with your expertise, let’s get started.
