I have a 40-metre hydraulic line made of PVC and I need clear, simulation-backed answers on how much it will expand and what that means for supports, joints, and operating safety. My plan is to couple process data generated in Aspen HYSYS with a detailed FEA model in ANSYS so the thermal loading you evaluate is tied directly to real flow-stream temperatures, not generic assumptions.
Here is what I expect:
• A HYSYS case (or exported data table) that defines temperature profiles along the pipe under normal operation.
• An ANSYS Workbench model of the same 40 m PVC run, including restraints or guides I provide, showing displacements, stresses and reaction loads driven by thermal expansion.
• A concise report interpreting the results and highlighting any sections where expansion or stress limits for PVC may be exceeded, plus your recommendations for mitigation.
Accuracy matters more than appearance; please keep the mesh, material properties and boundary conditions transparent so I can review and reuse the setup later. If you have questions about operating pressures or ambient conditions, let’s clarify them early so the analysis reflects reality.
