I am looking for an experienced scientific presentation designer to redesign an existing PowerPoint for a 12-minute oral presentation at an academic microbiology conference.
The presentation covers my research on infection-induced WNT signalling and macrophage antibacterial immunity. I already have a draft PowerPoint and a clear scientific narrative, and I will provide all figures, data and information that need to be included. I am not looking for someone to develop the scientific content from scratch. Rather, I would like the existing presentation transformed into a sleek, cohesive and highly professional conference talk.
The priority is strong scientific visual communication. The slides should be easy to understand within seconds while I am speaking, with the audience's attention directed toward the relevant part of each figure or experiment at the right time.
I am particularly looking for help with:
* Redesigning the existing slides into a consistent, polished visual style suitable for a high-level academic conference.
* Improving the layout and presentation of scientific figures.
* Creating or refining clean scientific schematics and summary/model figures where appropriate.
* Using professional PowerPoint animations and progressive reveals to guide the audience through figures without making the presentation feel over-animated.
* Developing clear visual hierarchy so that the main conclusion of each experiment is immediately apparent.
* Maintaining scientific accuracy — data, statistical annotations and biological relationships must not be altered for aesthetic purposes.
I would prefer a modern academic/scientific aesthetic rather than a corporate template or marketing-style presentation.
I will provide the existing .pptx, original figures/data where required, and detailed guidance on the intended message and speaking points for each slide. I am happy to work collaboratively and provide scientific feedback throughout the redesign.
Final deliverables:
An entirely editable .pptx, with figures, diagrams and animations remaining editable wherever practical. Please use standard or readily available fonts rather than supplying licensed font files.
Ideal experience:
Previous work designing presentations for scientific or medical conferences is strongly preferred.
When responding, if possible, please include examples of scientific/academic presentations or biomedical figures you have designed, particularly examples showing complex experimental data and PowerPoint animation. I am much more interested in seeing previous scientific work than general corporate presentation design.
