I need a complete masterplan and construction-ready drawing package for a new 100,000 m² container yard. The design must revolve around smooth, conflict-free circulation—optimising traffic flow is my top priority—while still extracting the maximum operational value from every square metre.
Scope of the yard
Please incorporate all functional zones and structures listed below, laid out logically to keep heavy, light and pedestrian movements separated wherever practical:
• Loading / unloading zones
• Container blocks (full, empty and reefer), complete with reefer power points
• Inland container depot space 40,000 square meters, empty container yard 25,000 square meeters and export CFS 15,000 square meters
• Lorry holding / marshalling parking area, customer parking and employee parking
• Entry gate with office, separate exit gate with office and full weighbridge facilities
• Heavy-goods vehicle service bay, reach-stacker service bay with parking stands
• Dangerous-goods storage area and dedicated firefighting team block
• Administrative offices, cafeteria, staff accommodation block and flash-shower points
• Clearly demarcated safe walking zones and a continuous 10 m-high perimeter wall
Deliverables
1. Master site layout showing all zones, traffic flows and turning radii
2. Detailed CAD drawings (AutoCAD / Civil 3D) for road geometry, parking, drainage and utilities
3. Grading plan, pavement build-ups and structural details for the perimeter wall
4. Fire-safety and dangerous-goods compliance diagram
5. 3D massing or visual renders (SketchUp, Revit or similar) to illustrate sight lines and scale
6. Phasing or construction sequencing plan, if the design benefits from staged build-out
Acceptance Criteria
• All drawings supplied in editable DWG plus PDF sheets ready for review
• Vehicle paths validated for articulated trucks and reach-stackers
• Circulation plan demonstrates one-way flows wherever feasible with no dead-ends
• Clear separation between pedestrian walkways and vehicular routes
• Design aligns with relevant local codes for firefighting, hazmat and reefer operations
Please base dimensions on common container and vehicle standards; any assumptions outside these norms should be noted in a design brief that accompanies the drawings.
Consider some points in the attachments and decide how you can incorporate.
