Project overview

Essential Functions: Responsible for the recruitment of all non-exempt positions to include but not limited to creating job postings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, completing hiring recommendations, managing the HRIS recruitment module and making offers of employment. Administers new hire paperwork process to include the collection of required documentation, background checks, references verifications, medical reports and prepares candidate packets for hiring approvals. Prepares orientation packets and manages the post- employment paperwork including but not limited to appropriate enrollments. Conducts the orientation presentation of all new employees as designated. Responsible for the HRIS management of the full cycle employment to include data entry of new hires, benefits, payroll changes, performance ratings, terminations, etc. Prepares job postings, tracks cost, analyzes ROI per job board and generates related purchase orders. Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records to meet all legal compliance. Reconciles benefits statements. Conducts audits of benefits, payroll rates or other HR programs and recommends corrective action. Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, updates verifications as required and maintains I-9 files for both current and terminated employees. Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records to meet all legal compliance. Tracks key HR metrics and generates reports as designated. Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status. Administers the employee recognition programs to include but not limited to birthdays, anniversaries, quarterly champions etc. Updates ADP employee portal with current informational messages and self-service forms directory. Assists or prepares correspondence to include employment status changes as designated. Assists with the drug testing process in accordance with the Agency policy and procedures s designated. Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Demonstrates a positive role model for others by maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical behavior throughout your interactions with both internal and external customers. Uses technology for the completion of specified job duties. Attends work regularly per assigned work schedule and in accordance with Agency policy. Attends and participates with in-service training, staff meetings and other activities to facilitate professional development. Works cooperatively with others including all staff, supervisors, administrators, co-workers, community professionals, clients, vendors and the public. Follows instructions and abides by Agency policies and procedures. Assumes other duties, responsibilities and special projects as designated. Secondary Functions: Participates in HR initiatives and projects as designated. Works cooperatively and effectively with Agency volunteers maximizing the volunteers’ experience while meeting the needs of the programs. Education, Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience. Experience in recruiting preferred. Experience in ADP preferred Must be knowledgeable in creating Excel spreadsheets. Must be detailed oriented Abilities and Skills: Strong computer proficiency especially with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Effective decision-making and problem solving skills. Must be organized, flexible and dedicated to quality service delivery. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in technology applications. Ability to analyze data and recommend action. Demonstrate integrity and ethical standards in job performance. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing across all levels of the organization. Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
