Project overview
We are seeking a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and (some) front-end development/design, in WordPress. Skills and Qualifications - Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery - Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications - Experience designing and developing responsive design websites - Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc. - Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers -Elementor Pro (required), Kadence, Gutenburg a plus. -Familiar with customizing child themes - Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages -Basic on-page SEO good practices (Yoast, All in One SEO, or Rank Math) -Best practices to optimize web site (compress images, compress code, etc.) -cPanel experience, basic DNS , MXrecords, SSL,CDN set up -Some undeerstaning of optimization minification,compression, etc. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with the responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred. Initial reponsibilities are to make updates to current sites. Opportunities to stay on as a long term team member on new projects. We serve mostly women-owned small businesses. We build new websites, update existing websites,perform optimization on existing websites, and maintain websites. We maintain a very close long-term relationship with clients so communication is key. Our goal is to make website that convert, not just pretty sites that do nothing. Our clients like results!
