Project overview
Responsibilities: Participate in the full lifecycle of a client implementation from initial internal sales hand-off to system configuration, training and testing. Facilitate discovery and requirements analysis sessions with customers Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the company platform, architecture, and integrations to meet client needs. Conduct discovery sessions with customers to review customer data Analyze and evaluate customer data using various tools and techniques Partner with Product Management, Product Engineering and Support team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that occur during the implementation. Set, manage and meet mutual expectations with the customer to ensure satisfactory completion of implementation projects Accurately record implementation project progress including technical flow diagrams and time reporting Track and report project metrics to ensure project success and mitigate risk Complete an effective hand-off from implementation to Customer Success Manager and to other internal groups at the end of the customer implementation. Design new LookML dimensions or measures within given requirements Analyze data models and business requirements to create LookML objects, including determination of source objects and how to join views into Explores Build Explores for users to answer business questions within given requirements Implement version control on the custom reports and custom dashboards based on customer requirements, including determination of appropriate setup for Git branches (Shared Branches, Pull from Remote Production) Construct SQL statements to use with new dimensions and measures Troubleshoot / resolve errors in previously created custom reports and custom dashboards Skills: Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders Positive cross-departmental collaboration Effective troubleshooting Strong organization skills Excellent oral, written and presentation skills Strong data analysis Proficient in Python using pandas and matplotlib libraries (desired) Proficient in R using dplyr and ggplot libraries (desired) Requirements: Three (3) years of SaaS implementation experience 2+ years of LookML and Looker specific experience i.e. best practices for coding Expertise in database technologies (Snowflake) and working with large sets of data Ability to brainstorm Looker solutions to recommend appropriate analytics / KPIs Knowledgeable on appropriate LookML to use (Dimensions, Measures, Derived Tables) Experienced at determining when to use persistent derived tables based on runtime / complexity of Explore queries Experience with PDTs, table filters, custom formatting, parameter select, derived tables Analyze data via SQL queries to assess structure, granularity, quality and fit for analytics Customer facing and/or training experience Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment Experience with procurement systems / process a plus Advanced Excel skills required, experience with Jira is a plus Bachelor's Degree; in computer science or other related field
