About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our founding team and lead the architecture, backend systems, and overall technical direction of the platform. You’ll play a critical role in shaping both the product and engineering culture from day one. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, iterating, and scaling early-stage products. Key Responsibilities Own System Architecture: Design, document, and implement scalable backend systems and service architecture. Code Across the Stack: Contribute to both backend (NestJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Firebase, Hasura) and mobile (React Native/Expo, TypeScript). DevOps Leadership: Lead CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker), and infrastructure (GCP, Heroku). Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and the founding team to prioritize roadmap features and build toward product-market fit. Mentor & Scale: Guide junior developers and help establish best practices for a growing team. Set Engineering Standards: Define and uphold quality code standards, technical documentation, and efficient workflows. Qualifications/Requirements 5–10+ years in fullstack or backend development Experience working with or quickly learning our core stack (NestJS, React Native, Firebase, Hasura, PostgreSQL) Strong architectural judgment and experience building scalable systems A proactive, team-first mindset and strong communication skills Comfort working in fast-paced, early-stage environments with evolving needs Passion for building something real and impactful from the ground up Bonus Mobile development experience (React Native/Expo) Familiarity with real-time systems or AI/LLM integrations Past experience on a founding or early engineering team Benefits Ownership: This is an equity-only role while we raise funding.
