Job Brief: We are looking for a Software Development Business Analyst. Experience with financial and database architecture projects will be prioritized. This is a completely remote independent contractor position, but will hopefully be a long-term working relationship. We have an amazing team that works hard, communicates well, gets things done, and gets along easily with each other. We’d love our new BA to fit into this culture. The BA will communicate with stakeholders and product managers to capture business and market-level requirements. They will also communicate with the project manager and the development team to create specifications and ensure they are followed throughout the development process. Duties & Responsibilities: Research business problems Determine expected business value products create Drafting nonfunctional requirements Preparing and maintaining functional requirements Formulating the main backlog Story Mapping Establishing acceptance criteria Prioritizing backlog Sprint preparation activities Tracking of the development process Gathering and processing feedback from stakeholders and users Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred Proven work experience in FinTech preferred Strong knowledge of software BA methodologies, tools, and processes Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive requirements documents Experience with Confluence, Jira, Figma, and other related tools Strong analytical skills Ability to manage multiple tasks well Problem solver with a solutions-oriented mindset Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience Software development experience required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Reliable and fast internet connection for your workspace Webcam for Slack, Google, and Zoom meetings Willing and able to work fully remote
