About the Role HHS Technology Group is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in automating, scaling, and optimizing our development and production environments. This individual will have a strong background in managing Kubernetes clusters, virtual machines, and possess the ability to lead and mentor a team. They will optimize our deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and shape the infrastructure architecture. Experience in networking, Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and AWS cloud services is essential. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, SonarQube, FFrog Antifactory, Azure DevOps. Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to provision, manage, and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure. Build and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS and Azure Platform. Implement security best practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and access controls. Work closely with development teams to understand requirements and ensure system reliability and performance. Participate in on-call rotations and assist in root cause analysis and post-mortem processes. Analyze and optimize system performance and scalability. Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to increase team efficiency. Manage networking configurations and security protocols within Kubernetes environments. Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies for rapid development, iteration, and delivery of software projects. Utilize AWS cloud services to architect, deploy, and optimize cloud-based solutions. Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents, applying root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align technical solutions with business goals. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in Kubernetes administration, including cluster deployment, scaling, and management. Strong leadership capabilities demonstrated through previous team leadership roles. Proficiency in networking concepts, protocols, and security practices within Kubernetes environments. Strong background and understanding of Docker and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development teams. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.). In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure architecture.
