About the Role This position is open exclusively for residents in Portugal. As a Senior Data Engineer at Construo, you will be a Developer in a project aimed at enhancing the capabilities and performance of a key application for our large multinational client. This involves refactoring code and updating the infrastructure and tech stack. Key Responsibilities Be a key contributor to the improvement of a key financial application, including extension and refactoring, as well as tech stack updates. Build a robust and well-implemented system with appropriate test coverage. Build and maintain API-Tests in Java and Front-End test-suite in TypeScript. Collaborate with other team members (Java Developers, QAs, and DevOps) to establish a high-performance, yet easy to maintain library and services. Qualifications/Requirements 6+ years of experience as a Java Engineer Passionate about producing high-quality and sustainable code. Willing to build and maintain automated tests for APIs and Front-Ends. Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript. Knowledge of DB persistence (PostgreSQL) and understanding of DB modelling (ERM). Experience with Azure is a plus. Familiarity with Git and continuous integration/continuous delivery. Curious and willing to learn more, with a customer-oriented attitude and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Excellent communication skills in English and comfort working in an international environment. Benefits ????
