About the Role This is a remote, full-time position for a Senior Data Engineer specializing in the healthcare domain. The role is open to candidates with specific visa statuses including OPT EAD, STEM, H4, GC, and Citizens, and requires a mid-level experience of 5-9 years. Key Responsibilities Design and build secure, scalable data pipelines for healthcare data (EHR, claims, HL7, FHIR). Develop and optimize ETL workflows using Python, SQL, and AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR). Ensure data solutions comply with HIPAA privacy and security regulations. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and healthcare professionals. Implement data quality controls and monitoring systems. Improve data architecture and infrastructure performance. Qualifications/Requirements 5+ years professional data engineering experience. 3+ years working with healthcare data systems (EHR/EMR, claims, HL7/FHIR). Expert proficiency in Python and SQL. Extensive experience with AWS data services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift). Strong data modeling and database design skills. Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Phoenix scripting language. Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks. Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards. Experience with Airflow, Luigi, or similar workflow tools.
