About the Role We’re currently building a state-of-the-art, modular, multi-tenant iGaming platform. This role sits at the core of the engineering team responsible for developing highly scalable services, intuitive frontend interfaces, and seamless third-party integrations, including games. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll work closely with the Tech Lead and cross-functional squads to deliver microservices and backend components. We’re looking for someone with a polyglot mindset — comfortable adapting to different technologies as needed. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Laravel. Collaborate with cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features and integrations. Build multi-tenant features with clear data separation and high configurability. Integrate third-party APIs and services, including payment processors, game providers, wallets, and analytics tools. Ensure the performance, security, and observability of all systems. Write clean, maintainable code and conduct peer reviews. Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes. Contribute to internal tools and libraries that improve engineering efficiency. Qualifications/Requirements 5+ years of experience in backend development with Laravel, or other modern PHP frameworks such as Symfony or Phalcon. Strong understanding of modern software architecture, REST APIs, and microservices. Familiar with multi-tenant systems, RBAC, and secure backend development. Exposure to observability practices, structured logging, and distributed systems. Comfortable working in cloud-native environments and using modern DevOps practices. Experience with Java or a modern JavaScript framework is a plus. Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset in remote-first teams. Bonus: experience in the iGaming industry.
