Project overview
Screenly is looking for an open source developer for Screenly OSE ( github.com/screenly/screenly-ose ), the most popular digital signage project on GitHub. In this role, you will be engaging with both the user base, and the open source community at large. You will have the ability to shape the future of this fast growing project. A big part of the role will be to stay on top of conversations on GitHub and on our forum, but also to develop new features and code. The ideal candidate has a background in Computer Science and is eager to learn new technologies. You need to be comfortable working with all layers of the stack, ranging from QT, to Docker and web. Requirements: * You are expected to have experience with the following technologies: * Modern web development (HTML/CSS/JS/Bootstrap etc) * Reasonable understanding of lower level languages (such as QT / C++) * Solid understanding of Python (this is the bulk of the code base) * Docker * Solid understanding of Linux Responsibilities: * Help manage and plan sprints * Help triage/diagnose GitHub issues * Help build/design new features
