Project overview
Main content of the project is porting of native TouchWaiter Apps to a Progressive Web Application (PWA) that can be deployed via Web URL and can be executed by Desktop Web Browsers and mobile phones. The purpose of the application is ordering meals. Functionality is very close to a traditional shop solution. The main use-case is selecting a caterer, watching meal offers and order and pay meals. Main functionalities are: • Selection of a caterer from a list • Check-in / check-out with a caterer • Viewing menu cards, ordering meals, monitoring the order status. • Profile area with personal settings; history for orders and billing. Extra functionalities are: • Caterer check-in via barcode scanning • Integrated payment process for Credit Card and Twint payments What is supplied by the Customer? • Backend Services with REST API (REST API help) • Native Apps for Android and iOS that have to be ported • App Specification describing requirements for porting the App • Support by phone or e-mail at least once a day (max. reaction time 24 h) • Support for Twint Payment integration ( twint.ch ) What is required from the Contractor? Development of Progressive Web Application that shall replace the native Apps in long-term view and thus reduces the maintenance cost. Furthermore, is the customer interested in avoiding distribution via App Store. The Customer is familiar with software engineering and development tasks. He plans to maintain the application after first productive rollout himself. Therefore, while project is set up, contractor has to ensure that the customer is able to install and configure the tool chain needed for development test and deployment. Build and deployment process shall also be feasible by the customer. A common GIT repository serves as data platform for the development work. Regular check-ins (e.g. weekly) of the Contractor ensure that the Customer has continuous access to current code. Thanks
