Our client is on a mission to transform the way marketers’ market, powering the live, always-on and personalized webinar and content experiences that businesses need to create engagement, deliver data, find demand and drive revenue. They want freelancers to contract to recruit and train as Event Managers for this office. The position will be work from home, reporting to the office. To ensure you can access them behind the firewalls, we insist you MUST be based in China and for this role you need to speak and write fluent Mandarin and English. The Event Specialist is responsible for the delivery of customer events using our virtual product suite. Event specialists are responsible for: Providing an enhanced experience to our client’s customers and attendees Managing live events Customer training Event troubleshooting and escalation This role requires a responsible and detail-oriented individual. Customer service, a keen understanding of technology, and interest in thriving in a deadline-driven environment are critical components of this role. You will work with the most talented individuals in the industry and our customer base includes the world’s largest and highest-profile companies. Position Requirements Control of your diary. This role is typically working during Tokyo office hours, but occasionally outside these hours. It is not a full-time role, and we forecast less than 10 hours a week for this, perhaps much fewer . It is well suited to a self-employed web designer or professional freelancer. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office Strong technical skills and some knowledge of HTML and/or CSS Excellent English and Mandarin Chinese skills, to bi-lingual level in oral and written. Essential Skills Well organized and able to provide high-quality work 100% of the time Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills Sense of urgency to provide a rapid response to client requests Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Provide customer training prior to a live event Manage and monitor live event ensuring success Perform event-related tasks, such as conference bridge scheduling, data input, answering event audience member inquiries, location design edits and custom reports generation Act as product and subject matter expert Providing technical support and guidance Drive customer satisfaction with excellent customer service Perform webinar and virtual event-related activities as necessary We have been recruiting and training for this client for over 10 years across EMEA, North and South America, and APAC. This is a rolling contract with no forecast end deadline. We are seeking 2 people for this role. We pay monthly.
