Hiring Announcement We are launching a brand new podcast and website and we are looking for a Research and Writing Assistant. The soon-to-be-launched podcast and website will be focused on contemporary classical music, aka, on new music from the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Our mission is to create an online platform for composers to share and promote their music with new audiences around the globe. Primary responsibliities for this role will include: Podcast - Research guests & prep prior to interviews - Create and post-show notes after interviews Content Creation - Propose and create original content - Curate content - Populate online composer profiles Job requirements: - Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to edit & proofread your own work prior to submission to the Editor - Extensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary classical music, composers, and music theories in this genre - Ideal position for graduate level or higher music theorists, composers or musicologists, who wish to work in their field of study and build a career in music journalism - Ideal position for professionals with families who strongly desire to work from home - Will consider exceptional undergrad applicants - Excellent working computer with a strong and reliable internet connection - Ability to work independently and on multiple deadlines - Other tasks and projects as needed. Compensation: - Anticipated salary: US$450 or more depending on relevant experience and skill level - Salary payable in USD via PayPal. We pay the PayPal fees! Benefits - Work from your own home.
