About the Role Due to rapid growth and increased demand for our international privacy and technology consulting and legal services, VeraSafe is seeking an exceptional Legal Administrator to support our Internal Legal Department and report to our General Counsel in Washington DC. This is a fully remote position. As a Legal Administrator, the primary job responsibility is to provide legal support to our attorneys, support our sales operations by preparing engagement letters from templates, and assisting the Internal Legal Department with day-to-day operations and organization of our busy consulting firm and law firm. The successful candidate will also directly support the day-to-day initiatives and long-term strategies of our firm’s General Counsel. Strong attention to detail and professionalism are our top values and our #1 consideration in evaluating candidates. Key Responsibilities Effectively managing the full contract lifecycle including preparing our MSA and SOW templates for use with our clients, shepherding contracts through the approval and signature process, ensuring all needed corresponding documents are executed and filed properly, assisting in negotiations, archiving and record retention, and documenting renewal or termination of contracts Doing initial reviews of various types of contracts in order to spot/highlight issues and areas of concern and enable faster review by our in-house attorneys Providing managerial support for the Internal Legal Department, e.g., maintaining our list of tasks assigned in the department, maintaining/updating the company’s governance calendar Helping develop and improve standard operating procedures related to our internal processes Collaborating with our in-house attorneys to suggest improvements to templates, processes, and organizational structures Perform a variety of other legally oriented tasks and duties as assigned Qualifications/Requirements Great interpersonal skills and fluent in English Paralegal certificate preferred 8+ years Legal Administrator experience preferred Familiarity with commercial contracts Be a team player; interested in contributing to a growing enterprise Willingness to work occasional evenings; primarily for full team meetings, happy hours, etc. Key Competencies Detail-oriented individual with a highly organized / structured work ethic and top-notch organizational skills Tech-savvy and comfortable using a variety of software applications Excellent written and verbal communication (i.e., you need to be able to write like a pro, and know your audience) Schedule flexibility to work with international teams and meet aggressive deadlines (without working weekends) Ability to work independently, collaborate with teammates, and fully deliver on all commitments Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment After learning through experience, we’ll welcome your ability to think outside the box and innovate Benefits Freedom of working remotely Professional development growth opportunities The chance to have a long-lasting impact on a small but growing international business Work in an open environment with a friendly team that respects your ideas and contributions Fast paced, entrepreneurial environment Occasional opportunities to travel internationally, primarily for team retreats VeraSafe’s Excellent Benefits Include Work from almost anywhere with Wi-Fi Paid annual leave Paid sick leave Flexible use of paid family responsibility leave Paid holidays Retirement plan contributions Life insurance Eligible for annual bonus Reimbursement for certain personal flight tickets Income replacement insurance Flexible working schedule in some roles Optional IT Hardware Buyback Program Choice of Mac or PC company laptop
