Project overview
Estimated Hourly Rate is negotiable based on interview and experience. We are looking for an AWS Cloud / DevOps Engineer who will be working with our small engineering team and focusing on AWS infrastructure and automation. The project we’re working on now delivers Banking services to clients who want to incorporate BaaS solutions into their businesses, software solutions, products, etc. We have senior DevOps Engineers who oversee multiple projects. We need someone who can work under their guidance and concentrate on 1 project at a time. More details about this project and others will be provided during interviews. Responsibilities Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools Administer and troubleshoot different system types Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, EKS, Terraform, DynamoDB, MongoDB Postgres, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3, etc...) Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform A solid foundation of networking and Linux administration Experience with Docker, GitHub, BitBucket, Jenkins, ELK, and deploying applications on AWS Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools Strong bias for action and ownership Immediately available for at least 4 hours per day. Preferably 8 hours per day. Full-Time Contract work Able to manage time efficiently and work completely remotely Can work US time zone hours (preferably live in areas close to these time zones) Proof of work and references AWS Certifications: System Operations Admin and/or DevOps Engineer
