My YouTube channel is shifting to a weekly vlog format and I need the raw footage turned into a fast-paced, story-driven episode each week. Expect to work with a mix of talking-head segments, B-roll and on-the-go phone clips. The final cut should feel like a polished vlog rather than a documentary: quick pacing, jump cuts where needed, thoughtful framing of the narrative and, most importantly, clean text overlays that highlight key moments or add context for the audience.
While text overlays are the non-negotiable, I’m open to tasteful transitions and background music if they enhance the flow—nothing over-produced, just enough to keep viewers engaged without distracting from the story.
Typical footage load per episode: 15–25 minutes that needs trimming to a tight 8–12 minute final video. Colour correction, basic audio sweetening and simple motion graphics for lower thirds or call-outs should be part of your normal workflow. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut or DaVinci Resolve are all fine as long as the output is crisp 4K and you can provide the project file in case tweaks are needed later.
Deliverables each week:
• Final exported 4K MP4 ready for upload
• Source project file with all assets neatly organised
• A short vertical teaser (15–30 sec) for Shorts/Reels is a plus but not required
I’ll share sample episodes to match pacing and tone once we start. Turnaround goal is three days after footage hand-off. Let me know your experience with vlog editing, favourite software, and a link to at least two similar projects you’ve cut.
