B2B Consulting | Executive Thought Leadership | Workshops & Professional Programs
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on YouTube Growth + Content Marketing Specialist to help build and grow a professional YouTube presence focused on enterprise transformation, strategic execution, leadership, program/portfolio management, and related business topics.
This is not purely a social media posting role. We are looking for someone who can take recorded video content from raw footage through editing, YouTube publishing, optimization, repurposing, social media distribution, and ongoing channel growth.
The specialist will also support the promotion of professional workshops and cohort-based programs as they are launched.
Scope of Work
1. YouTube Video Editing & Production
Take raw recorded videos and turn them into polished, professional YouTube content.
Responsibilities include:
Edit long-form YouTube videos, generally educational/thought-leadership content
Remove pauses, mistakes, repetitions, and unnecessary sections
Improve pacing while maintaining a natural executive speaking style
Audio cleanup and balancing
Basic color correction
Add professional titles, lower thirds, text highlights, transitions, and graphics where appropriate
Add relevant B-roll or visual elements when they genuinely improve the content
Add branded intro/outro elements where appropriate
Add calls-to-action without making videos feel overly promotional
Format and export videos according to YouTube best practices
The editing style should be clean, credible, professional, and executive-oriented, rather than highly animated or influencer-style.
2. YouTube Channel Management & Optimization
Manage and optimize the YouTube channel for sustainable growth.
This includes:
Upload and schedule videos
Develop compelling but credible video titles
Write/optimize descriptions
Create chapters/timestamps
Add appropriate keywords, tags, playlists, cards, and end screens
Recommend thumbnail concepts and create thumbnails
Organize channel playlists and content categories
Optimize existing and future videos where opportunities exist
Maintain consistent branding across the channel
3. YouTube Growth Strategy
Help develop a practical strategy for growing the channel and building a relevant professional audience.
This includes:
Research topics relevant to the target audience
Identify YouTube search and content opportunities
Recommend future video topics based on audience needs and channel performance
Advise on video length, format, hooks, titles, thumbnails, and publishing frequency
Analyze impressions, click-through rate, watch time, audience retention, subscribers, traffic sources, and other relevant metrics
Identify what is and is not working
Provide actionable recommendations for future content
The goal is not simply to maximize views. The priority is to build a credible YouTube community and audience relevant to B2B consulting, strategic execution, transformation, leadership, workshops, and professional learning programs.
4. Short-Form Content & Repurposing
Repurpose long-form YouTube videos into content for other channels.
For each suitable long-form video:
Identify strong moments that can stand independently
Create YouTube Shorts
Create Instagram/Facebook Reels
Create short LinkedIn video clips where appropriate
Add captions/subtitles
Format content correctly for each platform
Develop supporting captions/copy
Maintain consistency between the short-form content and the original thought leadership
Short-form content should create interest in the ideas and encourage audiences to discover the full YouTube content rather than simply generating views.
5. Social Media Distribution
Support the promotion of YouTube content through:
LinkedIn
Instagram
Facebook
YouTube Shorts
Develop a coordinated publishing calendar so one piece of long-form content can generate multiple relevant touchpoints across the channels.
Content should be adapted to each platform rather than posting identical copy everywhere.
6. Workshop & Cohort Promotion
As professional workshops and cohort-based programs become available, integrate them naturally into the content strategy.
This may include:
Workshop announcement content
Educational posts related to workshop topics
Short promotional videos/reels
Workshop teaser videos
YouTube calls-to-action
Social posts
Registration reminders
Clips addressing problems the workshop/program helps participants solve
Post-workshop content and highlights where appropriate
The approach should remain thought-leadership driven rather than overly sales-oriented.
7. Content Calendar & Coordination
Maintain a monthly content calendar covering:
Long-form YouTube videos
YouTube Shorts
LinkedIn content
Instagram/Facebook Reels
Workshop/cohort promotional periods
Calls-to-action
Important publishing dates
The specialist should make it easy for the subject-matter expert to focus primarily on developing ideas and recording content, while the specialist manages the production, packaging, distribution, and optimization process.
Ideal Experience
We would prefer someone with experience working with:
B2B consultants
Executive or leadership thought leaders
Professional services firms
Coaches/trainers with premium professional offerings
Workshop or cohort-based programs
Educational YouTube channels
Experience growing a YouTube channel from an early stage is particularly valuable.
What We Are NOT Looking For
We are not looking for someone focused primarily on:
Influencer-style content
Viral entertainment content
Excessive effects or trendy editing
Artificial follower/view growth
Generic social media posting without a growth strategy
We want to build a credible long-term professional brand, YouTube audience, and community that can also support our workshops, programs, and consulting work.
Expected Working Model
Initially, we anticipate approximately 2–4 long-form YouTube videos per month, with selected videos repurposed into Shorts/Reels and distributed across relevant social platforms.
The specialist should be comfortable taking ownership from:
Raw Video → Editing → Packaging → YouTube Publishing → Repurposing → Social Distribution → Analytics → Recommendations for the Next Content Cycle
When Applying
Please provide:
Examples of YouTube channels you currently manage or have helped grow
Before/after examples of videos you have edited
Examples of B2B, consulting, leadership, educational, or professional content
Your role in the growth of those channels
Examples of thumbnails and Shorts/Reels you have created
Your approach to growing a new professional YouTube channel
Monthly pricing or package options
