**Long-form editor for data-driven faceless YouTube channel — ongoing, 2–4 videos/month**

**About the work**

I run a faceless YouTube channel publishing long-form explainers built on research and numbers. Episodes run 8–12 minutes. The audience is global, and the tone is a friendly, curious explainer — clear and accessible, never lecturing. I'm looking for one editor to take this on as ongoing work.

**What I provide for every video**

- Finished narration audio, already voiced
- The narration script, word for word
- An annotated editing script — the same words broken into sections, each with production notes: suggested visuals, exact on-screen text, pacing direction, emphasis moments
- Title and thumbnail direction, for tonal context

You never have to guess what a section needs. The notes tell you.

**What you own**

- Sourcing all footage, b-roll, stills and music — properly licensed for a monetized commercial channel
- Building the on-screen text and number graphics (this is the bulk of the work)
- Assembling and pacing the cut to the annotated script
- Audio mix and levels
- Final export, delivered to a shared Drive folder

**The thing that matters most**

These videos live and die on numbers. Every figure spoken in the narration has to appear on screen, clearly, at the moment it's said. A viewer watching on mute should still be able to follow the argument. Roughly half of each episode is on-screen typography and simple data graphics rather than footage — if that part sounds tedious to you, this isn't the right job.

There's usually one "hero" graphic per episode: a table that reorders itself, or a chart that reshuffles when a new factor is applied. It doesn't need to be flashy. It needs to be legible on a phone.

**What I'm looking for**

- Long-form work you can show me: 8+ minute videos, not shorts or reels
- Clean, readable motion typography — more important to me than fancy transitions
- Real retention pacing instinct: knowing when to cut fast and when to hold
- Reliable and communicative, honest about turnaround
- You source your own assets and can prove they're licensed

Not required: no filming, no on-camera work, no voiceover, no thumbnail design.

**Terms**

Per-video flat rate, ongoing, 2–4 videos a month. Two revision rounds included per video. The first video sets the working relationship — if it goes well, this is steady long-term work.

**To apply, answer these four questions.** Applications that skip them, or that read as templates, won't get a reply.

1. One link to a long-form faceless video you personally edited that has on-screen data or numbers in it. Not a showreel — a full video. Tell me which parts were yours.
2. Say the narration is: *"Option A costs about one point eight times what Option B costs, per gram."* In two or three sentences — how would you put that on screen?
3. Where do you source footage and music, and how do you confirm each asset is cleared for a monetized commercial channel?
4. Your flat rate for a 10–12 minute video including sourcing, and your realistic turnaround from receiving files to first draft.

Start your reply with the word **lantern** so I know you read this.
