Project Summary:

I am launching a new e-commerce business and need a skilled WordPress and WooCommerce developer to repair a broken desktop layout, completely elevate our mobile experience, and fine-tune our product page features. The desktop site currently lacks responsive scaling; shrinking the browser or adjusting the zoom level (from 100% down to 60%) causes the layout to crumble and elements to overlap. On mobile, the current layout needs to be entirely replaced with a custom, highly polished, and premium look.

Additionally, there is an AJAX/caching bug with our mini-cart button widget that needs to be debugged. I am working on a tight startup budget and need these fixes completed quickly so I can launch operations. Scope of Work:

Core Website Layout & Premium Mobile Redesign:
• Responsive Layout Repair: Fix the underlying layout structure so elements scale fluidly. Content must remain perfectly in place and readable when resizing a browser window or shifting desktop zoom levels (from 100% down to 60%). Prevent text, boxes, and columns from crumbling or overlapping.

•Upscale Mobile Redesign: Recreate and overhaul the mobile layout. The mobile version must not look like a basic, automated default stack; it must look highly polished, professional, upscale, and elegant, offering an intentional, high-end user experience.

•Theme Update: Safely update the parent WordPress theme to its latest version, ensuring all custom styling is preserved or moved to a child theme.

•White Navigation Box: Style a clean, white "Book Online" box in the navigation menu. Ensure it scales beautifully and maintains its styling without breaking the header layout.

•Beneficiary Plugins: Identify, install, and configure highly beneficial plugins for site optimization or security. You must write a brief, plain-English explanation for why each plugin was chosen and how it helps the site.

WooCommerce & Cart Debugging:

•Cart Widget Debugging: Fix an issue with the side/floating mini-cart button element. Currently, when adding a new product to the cart, it sometimes fails to update or display inside the mini-cart button drop-down/slide-out, even though the items correctly show up if you navigate fully to the main cart page. This needs to be properly debugged (likely an AJAX fragment or caching conflict).

•Product Tab Alignment: Fix the single product page tabs so they sit in one straight, neatly aligned horizontal row across the center instead of bunching up.

•Product Gallery Lightbox: Enable a lightbox popup feature so clicking an image in the product gallery expands it seamlessly into a full-screen overlay view.

•Dynamic Variation Images: Configure the product variation dropdown menus to instantly swap the main gallery image to the corresponding option when clicked.

•Wide Product Descriptions: Adjust the long description section layout on product pages to display in a clean, wide-screen view.

•Classy Cart Page & Cross-Sells: Clean up the "You may be interested in..." section on the main cart page so the items look uniform. Style the overall cart layout to feel upscale, elegant, and high-end.

•Remove Cart Button: Completely remove or hide the specific "Proceed to Checkout" button from the main cart page.
