I have a WooCommerce store running on the Astra theme and I need the site structure finalised. Your job is to install or fine-tune the latest Astra starter template I’ll provide, then configure the Max Mega Menu plug-in so that shoppers can find every product category at a glance—on both desktop and mobile. You can also recommend any other free theme compatible with Max Mega Menu plugin, or even a different plugin for mega menu.

What I’m after
• Desktop: the mega menu must display my category names alongside their subcategories and an illustrative image for each. It should look clean, load quickly and keep the hierarchy clear.
• Mobile: I want an equally intuitive experience. Whether you build a slide-out, expandable list or another mobile-friendly layout, the goal is that users reach any subcategory in no more than two taps.
• Styling: colours, typography and hover states should follow Astra defaults unless I note otherwise, so everything feels native to the theme.
• Testing & hand-off: once the menu is in place, run cross-browser checks (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) and confirm all breakpoints are solid. I’ll need a brief note or screen recording showing where to update categories in the future.

Acceptance criteria
1. Category→Subcategory→Product path visible and clickable on the first screen of the menu.
2. Images attached to each top-level category display crisply (retina ready).
3. No console errors, CLS issues or layout shifts after implementation.
4. All changes reside in a child theme or customiser settings—nothing overwritten in core Astra files.

If you have recent experience with Astra + Max Mega Menu and know your way around WooCommerce hooks, this should be a straightforward task. Let me know your timeline and any clarification you need so we can get started right away.
