Windows Network Traffic Simulator

I need a small Windows application that pretends to be a busy machine on a network and produces believable, real-world traffic. The goal is not a full-blown lab tool but a lightweight “dummy” program I can launch on demand to see how other systems react to live-looking activity.
Core behaviour
• Once started, the app should automatically open and maintain multiple simulated network sessions, vary packet sizes and timing, and make the traffic appear genuine to monitoring tools.
• I have chosen “Network activities” with “Yes, real network traffic,” so please model the patterns as closely as you can to everyday usage (web browsing style bursts, occasional idle periods, intermittent file uploads, etc.).
• Protocol coverage is flexible; if you want to begin with the common defaults—HTTP/HTTPS over TCP/IP—that is fine. I am happy to refine or expand the list after a first working build.
Deliverable
A compiled 64-bit Windows executable (plus source code) that I can drop onto any modern Windows machine, run without extra dependencies, and stop with a single click or command-line switch. Build it in the language you prefer—C#, C++, or even Rust—so long as the final binary is stable and straightforward to operate.
Acceptance
I will verify that:
1. The program launches cleanly on Windows 10/11.
2. Network analyzers (e.g., Wireshark) show realistic traffic patterns without obvious repetition.
3. CPU and memory use stay moderate so the host remains responsive.
Once these points check out, the milestone is complete and we can discuss optional enhancements if you are interested.
