I need a NinjaScript strategy that places adaptive scale-in and scale-out orders on MNQ and NQ, then runs seamlessly inside the NinjaTrader Strategy Analyzer so I can back-test years of intraday data in one click. The core objective is a healthy balance between profit capture and risk control; think steady equity curves rather than lottery tickets.
All trade logic must operate on intraday bars. I will decide on the exact indicators once the framework is in place, so code it with clean, clearly-named placeholder methods where entry, add-on, and exit signals plug in. Parameterize common settings (bar period, account size fraction per tier, max position size, break-even trigger, trailing stop step) so I can tweak them directly in the Strategy Analyzer UI.
Order management requirements
• Scale-in: initial entry plus up to three additional tiers at user-defined price intervals or percentage pullbacks.
• Scale-out: partial exits that mirror the entry tiers or follow a profit ladder I can edit.
• Hard stop that automatically ratchets to break-even after tier two fills.
• All orders submitted OCO style and fully compliant with NinjaTrader’s unmanaged approach to avoid internal order handling conflicts.
Strategy Analyzer integration
• Must compile with zero warnings.
• Results need to display true intraday fill prices, including commissions and slippage settings.
• Provide sample optimization templates so I can run walk-forward tests right away.
Deliverables
1. Well-commented .cs file ready to import.
2. A short PDF or README explaining parameter meanings and how to swap in different indicators.
3. Video or screenshot walk-through of the strategy loaded in Strategy Analyzer showing a successful back-test on at least six months of MNQ data.
Acceptance criteria: strategy compiles, submits scale orders exactly as described on a replay test, and outputs accurate performance stats in the analyzer without manual edits.
If you have prior NinjaTrader scale logic examples, send a snippet in your bid message so I know you speak native NinjaScript. Looking forward to collaborating.
