E-Commerce Product Catalogue, AI Product Images & SEO Content – ~50 Products

Project Overview

I am looking for a freelancer to help me build and optimise the initial product catalogue for my e-commerce website.

This is a one-time project for approximately 50 products, with the possibility of additional work in the future if the quality is good.

The products will be sourced from supplier websites. You will be provided with the relevant supplier/product links and information required to create the listings.

The ideal freelancer should be comfortable working with e-commerce product listings, AI image generation/editing, SEO content and website product uploads.

Main Responsibilities

1. Product Research & Catalogue Creation

For approximately 50 products:

- Research the product information from the supplier's website/source.
- Collect accurate product specifications, features, dimensions, materials, colours, etc.
- Create a clean and consistent product catalogue.
- Create an SEO-friendly product title.
- Assign the appropriate product category/sub-category.
- Add relevant product tags/search keywords.
- Add product attributes/variants wherever applicable.
- Ensure all information is accurate and does not contain unsupported claims.

2. AI Product Image Creation

The supplier's original product images will be used as the reference.

For each product:

- Use the original product image as the reference.
- Create professional-looking AI-enhanced/product presentation images where appropriate.
- Maintain the actual appearance, shape, colour and important characteristics of the product.
- Do not create images that materially misrepresent the product.
- Remove/replace backgrounds where appropriate.
- Create clean, attractive e-commerce-style images suitable for an online store.
- Ensure consistent image quality and presentation across the catalogue.
- Optimise/compress images appropriately for website use without unnecessary loss of quality.
- Add suitable SEO-friendly image filenames and ALT text.

Important: AI should be used as a tool to improve presentation, not to invent product features or make the product look materially different from what the customer will receive.

3. SEO Product Descriptions

Create an SEO-optimised product description for each product.

Each description should ideally include:

- Short introductory description
- Key benefits/features
- Product specifications
- Suitable use cases
- Important information/cautions where applicable
- Naturally incorporated relevant keywords
- Easy-to-read formatting
- Customer-focused, persuasive language

Please avoid keyword stuffing and generic AI-generated descriptions that are simply copied from the supplier.

The content should be original, readable and useful to customers.

4. SEO Metadata

Where the website platform allows it, please also prepare:

- SEO/meta title
- Meta description
- SEO-friendly URL/slug
- Primary keyword
- Secondary keywords
- Image ALT text

5. Website Product Upload

Upload the completed products to my e-commerce website.

The freelancer should be able to:

- Add product title
- Upload images
- Add description
- Add price/details provided by me
- Add category/sub-category
- Add tags
- Add attributes/variants where applicable
- Add SEO information
- Check formatting on the live/product preview page
- Ensure there are no obvious spelling, formatting or upload errors

I will provide the necessary website access/instructions.

Please do not make changes to the website outside the agreed product catalogue work.

6. Website Blog Content

Create 3 SEO-optimised blog articles for the website.

The freelancer should:

- Research the topic before writing.
- Create an SEO-friendly title.
- Identify the primary and secondary keywords.
- Write useful, genuinely informative content rather than AI-generated filler.
- Use proper headings/subheadings.
- Include relevant internal-link opportunities where appropriate.
- Provide an SEO/meta description.
- Suggest a suitable featured-image concept.
- Ensure the articles are original and easy to read.

The blog topics will be discussed/provided after selection of the freelancer.

Quality Requirements

I am looking for someone who understands that AI output still needs human quality control.

Please do NOT:

- Copy supplier descriptions word-for-word.
- Copy content from competitors.
- Generate generic AI content without editing it.
- Invent product specifications.
- Invent product benefits or claims.
- Create AI images that materially misrepresent the actual product.
- Use copyrighted images from other websites without permission.
- Upload products without checking the final listing.

Accuracy and consistency are more important than simply completing the work quickly.

Qualifications / Skills Required

Essential

- Experience with e-commerce product listing/catalogue management.
- Good written English.
- Basic-to-good understanding of SEO.
- Experience creating product descriptions.
- Familiarity with AI image generation/editing tools.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent formatting.
- Ability to research product information independently.
- Basic image editing/optimisation knowledge.
- Ability to work with spreadsheets/Google Sheets/Excel.
- Ability to work with an e-commerce website/backend.

Preferred

Experience with:

- Shopify / WooCommerce / similar e-commerce platforms
- Product SEO
- AI image tools such as ChatGPT image generation, Gemini, Midjourney, Flux, Leonardo, Adobe Firefly, Canva, etc.
- Canva or Adobe Express
- Keyword research
- E-commerce copywriting
- Dropshipping/product catalogue management

You do not need to be an expert in every tool. What matters most is your ability to produce good-quality results.

I am looking for the best combination of quality, accuracy and reasonable pricing, not simply the cheapest bid.

The initial project is approximately 50 products. If the work is good, there may be opportunities for additional catalogue, content and e-commerce work in the future.
