My React / Django product is functional but sluggish: page-to-page navigation feels heavy and the interface hesitates while assets and data arrive. Front-end responsiveness is my top concern, with loading speed during route changes standing out as the clearest pain-point.
I’d like you to profile the whole stack—React, Django REST, Postgres, Docker containers—and surface the real bottlenecks, then implement fixes that hold up in production. That may involve component-level code-splitting, smarter state management, query optimisation, async views, or container tuning; I’m open to whichever proven techniques your investigation justifies, provided the end result is measurable and clearly documented.
Deliverables
• A short report summarising each bottleneck found, the metric before/after, and the remedy applied
• Clean, tested commits (unit or integration as appropriate) for both frontend and backend
• Updated Docker files or scripts if runtime tweaks are needed
• Inline comments plus a concise README section describing how to reproduce the benchmarks and run the new build
Quality is paramount, so please favour readable code, descriptive commits, and reliable tests over quick hacks. If something blocks progress—whether a library, build pipeline, or infrastructure quirk—flag it early and we’ll resolve it together.
