Wix Travel Agency Build
About the client
We are launching a new home-based UK travel agency run by one person. We are taking a practical, cost-conscious approach as we prepare our website for launch.
Website build-out
We need to build out a Wix travel agency website from a purchased template and prepare it for launch. This is an implementation of the existing template design, not a redesign: all copy, photos and package details will be supplied in organised folders and documents, while backgrounds, fonts and colours must follow the client’s specifications.
Heads up
All supplied copy must be pasted exactly as provided. Do not rewrite it.
Provided materials
All copy in one document, organised by page.
Photos in named folders for each page or trip.
Package details in one spreadsheet.
Logo and brand colours.
Implementation scope
Replace placeholder text, images, prices, address, phone number, email and opening hours with supplied content; display prices in £ rather than $.
Change all backgrounds, fonts and colours to the client’s specified brand direction.
Rename Local Tours to Hand-Picked Packages and repurpose Honeymoon as Cruises. Make the required layout changes for cruise pages, then update all menus, links, and URLs to match.
Build trip pages from the supplied spreadsheet using the template layout: hero image, description, key details and gallery.
Update the repeated “Every trip is built from scratch…” banner and button, reviews, About-page services, FAQs, menu, footer and external/social links.
Remove unused trip sets, pages and blog posts, then repair navigation to match the final structure.
Set up a working enquiry form and newsletter sign-up connected to the client’s email.
Check mobile and tablet layouts across every page type.
Complete page titles, meta descriptions and image alt text; compress images for faster loading.
Connect the client’s .co.uk domain and confirm the live site loads correctly.
Heads up
The homepage search bar must either be removed or made functional.
Heads up
Add a cookie-consent banner and consent checkboxes to the newsletter and enquiry forms. If any supplied copy does not fit its intended space, flag it to the client rather than editing it.
After launch, provide a short screen recording showing how to add a trip page and a blog post, so the client can manage future updates independently.
Note
The client will invite the freelancer as a Wix collaborator and will handle the domain connection following the freelancer’s instructions. Connecting the custom domain requires a paid Wix Premium plan, which is separate from the freelancer’s fee.
Heads up
All three trip sets must be CMS-driven so the client can edit, add, and remove trips at any time. Do not hard-code trip content on pages; homepage trip cards must pull from the CMS.
Site structure
Nine standalone pages: Home, About Us, Destinations, Honeymoon, Local Tours, Blog, FAQ, Privacy Policy, and Terms & Conditions.
Three separate trip sets: Destinations, Hand-Picked Packages (repurposed from Local Tours), and Cruises (repurposed from Honeymoon). Each set uses its own page layout.
A blog with one post layout and six sample posts to replace.
Note
Launch with 24 live trip pages: 8 Destinations, 8 Hand-Picked Packages, and 8 Cruises. Cruise pages need layout changes; all menus, links, and URLs must be updated to reflect the renamed trip sets.
Freelancer requirements
Proven Wix experience, including links to two or three live Wix sites built by the freelancer; travel-sector examples are preferred.
Experience with Wix CMS collections and dynamic pages.
Excellent written English and close attention to detail.
Please provide a fixed price for this scope, a price per additional trip page, turnaround time, and confirmation of one full revision round after the first complete draft.
The revision round will be based on one consolidated list of changes from the client after the first complete draft.
The client would like the work completed sooner rather than later.
