Seeking UK Immigration Solicitor – Judicial Review of Standard Visitor Visa Refusal

Project Description
I am a Malaysian citizen currently residing in Malaysia, seeking a qualified UK immigration solicitor or barrister with experience in judicial review and public law to assess my refused UK Standard Visitor visa application.

My application was refused on 8 October 2026. The refusal letter states that there is no right of appeal or administrative review.

My intended visit is to see my British partner and his family in the UK over Christmas and New Year, from 4 December 2026 to 4 January 2027.

Reasons for Refusal
The Home Office refused my application on the following grounds:

1. My UK-based sponsor's financial circumstances were not considered sufficiently established to demonstrate that he could provide the promised financial support.

2. My personal financial circumstances, including my income, additional income, savings and expenditure, were not considered sufficiently established.

3. The decision-maker was not satisfied that I had substantial family ties outside the UK.

4. The decision-maker was not satisfied that I intended to leave the UK at the end of my proposed visit.

Points Requiring Legal Assessment
I believe certain aspects of the decision warrant closer examination because I submitted supporting documents addressing several of these concerns, including:

- My sponsor's employment and financial evidence, together with his letter confirming the support he intended to provide.

- My employment, payslips, bank statements and evidence of additional income.

- My employer's letter confirming my approved annual leave and required return-to-work date.

- My supporting letter identifying my mother, sister and brother in Malaysia.

- Evidence of my Malaysian residence and tenancy.

I would like an experienced legal professional to review my complete application and supporting documents alongside the refusal letter, identify any arguable errors of law or procedural unfairness, and advise whether judicial review would be an appropriate course of action.

Scope of Work
I am seeking:
1. An initial assessment of the refusal and the merits of a potential judicial review.

2. Advice on whether a pre-action protocol letter should be sent to the Home Office.

3. Advice on the applicable deadlines, legal costs, risks and potential remedies.

4. If appropriate, representation in judicial review proceedings.

5. An assessment of whether a successful challenge could realistically result in the refusal being withdrawn and my application reconsidered which will conclude with me being granted a visitor visa.

My ultimate objective is to obtain permission to visit the UK. I understand that judicial review does not guarantee a visa grant, and I am seeking an honest assessment of the legal merits and realistic prospects of my case.

Qualifications Required
Applicants should be a UK-qualified solicitor or barrister, or work directly with one, with demonstrable experience in:

- UK immigration law and Appendix V: Visitor.

- Judicial review of Home Office immigration decisions.

- Public law challenges involving visitor visa refusals.

- Pre-action protocol correspondence and court proceedings.

Please outline your relevant experience, proposed approach, initial consultation fee and estimated costs for each stage of the process.

I can provide the refusal letter, completed application and supporting documents for a confidential initial assessment.
