Life Street is a provider of Employee Assistance Programs and corporate mental health services. We are looking for a freelance video editor/producer to help bring our training and educational content to life.
About the work
We create narrated training and educational videos that combine still imagery, on-screen text, audio scripts, animated stills (pan/zoom style) with key points and definitions transitioning in and out in sync with narration. No talking-head footage or live-action filming required.
What you'll be doing
Creating 10-15 minute videos syncing still images and on-screen text precisely to a voiceover/audio script
Animating static images (Ken Burns-style pan/zoom) to keep longer-form content visually engaging
Adding text callouts, highlighting key terms, definitions, or steps in time with the narration
Working from a script and subject-matter-expert recording and potentially selecting aligned still imagery
Applying our style guide consistently across a series of videos
Skills & experience we're looking for
Proven experience editing narrated, presentation-style video (training, eLearning, explainer, or similar (not short-form social/reels)
Comfortable syncing audio to visuals over longer runtimes
Confident building text transitions/callouts timed to narration
Experience with video editing tools - We're open to the editing software you use, provided you can produce a polished result. Proficiency in one or more of the following is required - - CapCut, iMovie, Camtasia, Descript, Adobe Premiere Pro
Experience with instructional design principles (chunking content, pacing for retention) is essential and any experience/exposure to then mental health sector a bonus.
Strong Claud skills and capability
This is an ongoing casual contract arrangement, ideal for a freelancer who can work independently from a script and audio track. Fully remote - you can be based anywhere in Australia. Must be able to provide work examples.
