I need a fully-engineered design for a residential guardrail built from wood and styled in a classic, traditional manner. The goal is to end up with a set of plans that a carpenter can follow confidently and a permit office can approve without back-and-forth. This is in Orange, California

Please produce:

• Dimensioned drawings (PDF + native CAD) showing posts, rails, balusters, connections, and anchorage points
• Basic load calculations that demonstrate compliance with standard residential code requirements for lateral and concentrated loads
• A materials and hardware list with species, grades, and fastener specs
• Assembly notes that explain any specialty joinery or site-specific considerations

If you’re able to include a quick 3-D visualization or rendering to confirm proportions, that’s a plus but not mandatory.

I’ll answer site-specific questions (span lengths, stair angles, local code references) as soon as you ask so we can keep momentum. Deliverables are accepted once drawings, calcs, and list align with the stated code loads and the aesthetic remains unmistakably traditional.
