Texas Gazebo Engineering Stamp & WPI-8

I’m adding a large, wood-framed gazebo—just over 300 sq ft—to my backyard in Pearland, TX, and the City permit office has asked for a Texas-licensed structural engineer’s seal along with a completed WPI-8 for windstorm compliance.

You would review my current drawings (PDF/DWG) and photos, adjust the design if needed to satisfy IRC/IBC and TDI windstorm requirements for our 120 mph Exposure B zone, then issue the final sealed set I can submit to the city and my insurer. A short package of calculations for the footing, posts, and roof framing will help the plan reviewer move things along.

Timing is important—my contractor wants to start footings in about two weeks—so a quick turnaround and clear communication are appreciated. I’m available for a site visit if it proves necessary, but remote review is fine if you’re comfortable certifying from detailed documentation.

Deliverables
• PDF (and, if required, one hard copy) of stamped structural drawings
• Supporting structural calculations
• Filed and signed WPI-8 certificate
