Teach Me Basic Video Editing

I’m starting from scratch and need a patient mentor who can walk me through the fundamentals of video editing, with a clear focus on cutting and merging clips cleanly and efficiently. The end-goal is that I feel fully confident importing raw footage, trimming it precisely, joining segments, adding simple audio beds or titles, and then exporting a polished file in the right format for social media or YouTube.

Because I haven’t settled on a platform yet, I’m happy to learn on whichever tool you feel is best for a beginner—Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve—so long as you can demonstrate the same essential workflow on it. If you can conduct the sessions in Hindi, that’s a bonus, but clear, friendly communication is key either way.

Deliverables
• 4–6 live, screen-share training sessions (≈1 hr each) scheduled to suit us both
• Practice footage and project files so I can follow along step-by-step
• A concise cheat-sheet of shortcuts, workflow tips, and export settings
• Recordings of each session for future reference

Acceptance criteria
• By the final session I can trim, split, and merge a sample five-minute video independently and export it at 1080p without guidance
• All session recordings and the cheat-sheet are delivered within 24 hours of each lesson
