🧭 Navigating the position: Systems Engineer We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Docmap Team on a 12-month maternity fixed term contract. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality technical support and ensuring an excellent customer experience across our maritime software solutions. You will act as a key interface between customers, product teams, and internal stakeholders—resolving technical issues, supporting system adoption, and contributing to ongoing service and product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide second-line technical support for Docmap products, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, escalating where required

Deliver customer training and guidance to support system adoption and effective use

Monitor system performance and proactively identify risks or service disruptions

Ensure all customer interactions and issues are accurately recorded in helpdesk systems

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to resolve defects and improve functionality

Support release activities, including validation and customer readiness

Contribute to knowledge base content, documentation, and process improvements

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Experience in technical support, IT support, or customer-facing technical roles

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues

Knowledge of database structures (e.g., SQL) and system integrations

Familiarity with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, or maritime software preferred)

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering high-quality service

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a global team

Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
