Swahili Audio Transcription Project

I have a batch of recordings in Tanzanian Swahili that must be transcribed verbatim as part of “Project PW.” All work is fully remote; you simply download the audio, deliver clean, well-formatted text, and upload it back to the shared drive.

Accuracy is critical. Conversation fillers, pauses, and speaker changes need to be captured precisely, and any inaudible sections should be time-stamped so I can review them later. I will provide a short style guide before we begin so you know exactly how to mark timestamps, speaker labels, and background noise.

Deliverables
• A separate UTF-8 text or Word file for each assigned recording
• Verbatim Swahili transcript with correct spelling and punctuation
• Timestamps for any unclear or inaudible portions

Before assigning the full batch, I will send one short file (about three minutes) to confirm we are on the same page stylistically. Once that sample is approved, I will release the remaining audio in manageable sets and keep a rolling deadline schedule so the workload stays predictable.
