I have drafted a mathematical model for a supply-chain problem and developed several heuristic rules meant to select the best transport mode, packaging configuration, and spoilage-mitigation tactics. The scope is squarely within supply chain management, and I now want a fresh, expert set of eyes—ideally someone with a strong operations-research background—to confirm that my formulation is sound and to refine or correct it where needed.

The current model couples inventory and transportation decisions, restricting shipments to road and rail at this stage, though I am open to suggestions about integrating additional modes if you see clear value.
