About Us
Marble is building an AI-powered tax assistant and preparation platform that transforms how accounting firms and their clients handle taxes. We're targeting the pain points of mid-to-large size accounting firms with intelligent tools designed to streamline complex tax workflows. We're early stage, highly collaborative, and deeply focused on solving real, high-impact problems for our customers.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Strategy & Operations, Program Manager to own the systems, tooling, and content that keep our product accurate, current, and trustworthy. The tax domain is constantly moving: requirements change, complexity spans many jurisdictions, and the inputs our product handles come in every shape imaginable. Your job is to bring order to all of it, and to keep it from falling through the cracks.
You’ll own the recurring cycles that keep tax forms and content current each filing season, and keep our analytics and project-tracking systems clean and trustworthy. You’ll build lightweight processes where none exist, push for more robustness as we grow, and retire the ones that stop working.
This is a hands-on role: you’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering, coordinate directly with clients, and get pulled into high-priority company problems as they come up.
If you’re a structured thinker who loves owning complex, detail-heavy systems end-to-end and wants a front-row seat to how an early-stage AI company is built, you’ll be a great fit.
What You'll Do
Stand up lightweight tooling and processes where none exist, advocate for more robustness when determined by scale and kill processes that no longer work
Maintain updated schemas that power document ingestion and intake
Update tax forms and templates for each filing season so the product stays compliant and current while build the processes and tooling that make managing at scale sustainable
Own the accuracy of our product analytics; partner with engineering so business teams track the right events and their dashboards reflect reality.
Keep our Project Management Tool healthy: make sure work is prioritized, high-priority items keep moving, and the backlog stays groomed.
Set-up and coordinate client engagement
Support on ad-hoc, high-priority projects as they arise
What We're Looking For
3–5 years in operations, program/product management, or a systems-heavy role
You bring order to ambiguity. You’ve owned complex, detail-heavy systems where the rules change often, and you build structure that holds up without over-engineering it
You’re operationally rigorous. Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch. You track the details, keep things prioritized, and follow through to completion.
You partner well across functions. You work closely with Product and Engineering, translate between technical and business needs, and can hold your own with clients.
Clear, concise communicator, able to write executive-ready updates and synthesize messy inputs into decisions
Comfortable working directly with founders and giving (and receiving) direct feedback
Based in San Francisco and excited to work in person
Bonus Points
Experience working with structured data, taxonomies, and schemas
Experience in tax, accounting, fintech, or another compliance-heavy domain.
Familiarity with analytics tooling (e.g., PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel) and defining events, funnels, and dashboards.
You’ve been an early operational or systems hire at a startup and know what that scrappiness demands.
You've built a feedback, reporting, or ops system from scratch that a team still uses
Why Join Us?
Own the content and systems that a platform used by hundreds of tax practitioners depends on every day
Work at the intersection of company strategy, product operations, and frontier AI
Join a team that values autonomy, speed, and strong fundamentals
Highly competitive compensation, equity, and benefits
Compensation Range: $100K - $160K
