We are looking for a reliable freelancer currently located in Sri Lanka to support a short-term telecommunications testing project involving the Dialog Sri Lanka mobile network.
The project will run for approximately 7 days and is part of our real-world testing of OTP delivery across multiple communication channels, including SMS, Voice OTP, and OTT messaging applications.
No specialized telecommunications or programming experience is required. We will provide clear setup instructions and remote support.
Scope of Work
The project consists of two phases:
Phase 1 – Device Setup | USD 30
The selected freelancer will:
- Provide an Android smartphone located in Sri Lanka for the project.
- Use a Dialog Sri Lanka SIM card as instructed.
- Connect the phone to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile internet connection.
- Install and configure our testing application.
- Follow our instructions to complete the initial setup and verification.
- Confirm that the device is ready to receive SMS, Voice, and supported OTT traffic.
Once the device has been successfully configured and verified, the **USD 30 setup milestone** will be completed.
Phase 2 – 7-Day Testing Period | USD 50
After the initial setup, the phone will operate primarily as a remote testing device for approximately 7 days.
During this period, the freelancer only needs to ensure that:
- The Android phone remains powered on.
- The phone maintains a stable internet connection.
- The Dialog SIM remains active and connected to the mobile network.
- Our testing application remains installed and operational.
- The freelancer is available for occasional basic troubleshooting if required.
Under normal circumstances, **no further manual interaction or daily testing is required once the device has been successfully configured**.
Upon successful completion of the 7-day testing period, the **USD 50 second milestone** will be completed.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be physically located in Sri Lanka during the project.
- Have an Android smartphone available for testing.
- Have reliable Wi-Fi or mobile internet connectivity.
- Have access to, or be able to use, a Dialog Sri Lanka SIM card.
- Be comfortable installing an Android application and following setup instructions.
- Be responsive through Upwork if basic troubleshooting is required.
- Be able to keep the phone powered on and connected throughout the 7-day testing period.
Previous experience with telecom, Android testing, QA, mobile applications, or network testing is helpful but **not required**.

Duration: Approximately 7 days
Total fixed budget: USD 80-100
Payment will be divided into two milestones:
Milestone 1 – Device setup and successful verification: USD 30
Milestone 2 – 7-day device availability and support: USD 50+
