I need an experienced SQL Server professional to configure a small Windows Server so it can quickly restore and keep a database online for multiple users. The core of the job is getting LiteSpeed to decompress .lts.bak files into standard .bak files, restoring them into an Evaluation copy of SQL Server 2022/2025, and then keeping that database in multi-user mode at all times.

Please wire in an automated process—hourly or half-hourly—that applies the incoming transaction-log backups so the data stays current. My top priority is ensuring that concurrent users can work in the database without interruption, though high-speed compression and scheduled log shipping obviously matter too.

Transparent Data Encryption must be enabled during the restore. I already hold the certificate and private key; I simply need you to integrate them correctly and verify that the encryption chain remains intact through each subsequent log restore.

All work will be done on trial editions of SQL Server and LiteSpeed for now, so plan your approach with those limitations in mind. WinSCP is my preferred FTP tool for fetching the backup files; if you think a different free tool clearly outperforms it, I’m open to hearing why, but otherwise stick with WinSCP.

Deliverables
• Automated LiteSpeed script or job that converts .lts.bak to .bak and restores the full backup
• Scheduled job (Agent, PowerShell, or equivalent) that applies log backups every 30–60 minutes
• Database left in multi-user mode and proven accessible by several simultaneous connections
• TDE implemented and validated with my provided certificate/key
• Clear, step-by-step hand-off document so I can maintain the workflow once you’re done

I’m ready to start as soon as we agree on the approach and timeline.
