We are looking for a Robotics Technical Support Specialist to support a space robotics project from November 2026 through December 2027.
This is a full-time contract role, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Central Time. The ideal candidate has a strong software background and experience troubleshooting robotics or technical software environments, particularly Linux/Ubuntu, Docker, and ideally ROS 2.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot software, Linux/Ubuntu environments, and containerized workflows.
Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and provide practical technical solutions.
Support Docker and Docker Compose workflows.
Troubleshoot system, driver, configuration, and integration issues.
Work closely with robotics engineers and document solutions as needed.
Requirements:
Master’s degree from a university.
2-5 years of relevant experience, including robotics and software experience.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and containerized workflows.
Strong Linux/Ubuntu troubleshooting skills.
ROS 2 experience preferred, but strong transferable experience with similar systems will be considered.
Ability to troubleshoot complex software environments and interactions between multiple systems.
U.S. citizen and resident, with the ability to meet applicable background screening requirements for project badging.
Available full-time during Central Time business hours.
Networking and advanced GPU programming experience are not required. GPU experience is a plus but not essential.
Contract:
November 2026-December 2027
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM CT
Budget: Up to $150,000 USD
