I need a full SolidWorks build-out of a paper-cutting machine concept. The design has to go beyond a simple model and show every part, linkage, and driving mechanism in a single, workable assembly. Two core capabilities must be engineered in from the outset:
• Adjustable cutting lengths – operators should be able to dial in different sheet sizes without swapping tooling.
• Reliable stack handling – the cutter must accept and align multiple sheets in one pass.
Automatic feeding is not required at this stage, so you can concentrate on the accuracy and robustness of the cutting and stacking subsystems.
Deliverables I expect:
• Complete SolidWorks assembly (.SLDASM) with fully defined mates and motion checks
• All individual part files (.SLDPRT) ready for edit or detailed drawing extraction
• Basic exploded view(s) and section views to illustrate the mechanism paths
• Simple BOM identifying materials and critical dimensions
As soon as the files open cleanly in SolidWorks and the mechanisms cycle without interference, the job is done. If you already have experience designing cutters, trimmers, or similar equipment, you will find the brief straightforward. I’m happy to answer clarifying questions quickly so you can keep momentum.
