Social Content Distribution & Community Freelancer – Japanese Hospitality Brands

30-Day Freelance Trial | Remote

We are seeking a proactive and digitally savvy freelancer to help expand the reach of two premium Japanese hospitality venues in Brisbane, Australia.

This is not a content creation or social media strategy role. Our team already produces professional photography, video and social content.

We are looking for someone who can take our existing approved content and help us extend its reach, increase engagement and grow relevant followers through thoughtful content distribution and community engagement.

What You'll Do

Working across two hospitality brands, you will:

- Repost and repurpose approved social content across agreed platforms
- Identify additional opportunities and channels where our content can reach relevant audiences
- Adapt approved copy where necessary for different platforms while maintaining our brand voice
- Engage thoughtfully with relevant accounts and communities
- Identify food, dining, cocktail, travel, luxury and Japanese-culture audiences that may be relevant to our brands
- Recommend new distribution opportunities as you discover them
- Maintain a simple record of activity and results
- Provide a short weekly update and final report at the end of the 30-day trial

Our primary objective is to generate incremental reach, meaningful engagement and relevant follower growth, rather than simply increasing posting volume.

What We're Looking For

You should:

- Have demonstrated experience with social media distribution, community management or organic social growth
- Understand Instagram and TikTok, with knowledge of other relevant platforms considered an advantage
- Understand how to grow social accounts organically without bots, purchased followers or spam tactics
- Have excellent written English
- Be highly organized and able to work independently
- Have good judgement about premium brands and appropriate online communities
- Be comfortable working with existing brand guidelines and approved content

Experience or a strong interest in Japanese food, hospitality, restaurants, cocktails, luxury, travel or lifestyle brands would be highly regarded.

Candidates based in Japan or the Asia-Pacific region are welcome and encouraged to apply, although we are open to strong applicants globally.

30-Day Trial

This will initially be a fixed-price 30-day project.

Content, brand direction and core messaging will be provided by us. We are specifically looking for someone who can execute consistently and identify smart ways to extend the reach of the content we are already producing.

If the trial is successful, there may be an opportunity for ongoing monthly work.

How Success Will Be Evaluated

We will look at:

- Incremental reach and non-follower reach
- Engagement with distributed content
- Relevant organic follower growth
- Profile visits
- Consistency and quality of execution
- Quality of audiences and communities reached
- New distribution opportunities identified
- Overall value generated during the 30-day trial

Quality matters more to us than simply generating large numbers.

- Purchased followers or engagement
- Bots or automated engagement
- Follow/unfollow tactics
- Mass commenting or spam
- Posting unapproved content
- Any activity that could negatively affect the reputation of our brands
