I require a U.S.–licensed Professional Engineer to review a proposed unvented shed roof framed with 2x12 SPF No. 2 (or better) rafters spaced 16 in. o.c. The assembly will carry metal roofing over 5/8-in. OSB and about 7 in. of closed-cell spray foam applied to the underside of the sheathing.
Your task is to verify that this framing meets the International Residential Code and the applicable design loads for an urban site, namely snow, wind, and seismic forces. After confirming adequacy, I need a signed and sealed calculation package—or, if simpler, a certification letter—acceptable to the local building department.
Deliverables
• PDF of stamped structural calculations (or stamped certification letter) referencing IRC provisions and load assumptions
• Electronic signature and seal valid in the United States
Acceptance will be based on clarity of assumptions, traceable load paths, and conformance with IRC load combinations for the stated conditions.
