Shopify Freelancer – Store Setup & Structure

We are looking for an experienced Shopify freelancer to build the basic technical and structural setup of our online store.

A Shopify account and an existing theme/template are already in place. We are not looking for a fully custom-built store or a new design from scratch. The goal is to professionally set up and customize the existing theme so that we can easily add and manage products, images, and content ourselves afterwards.

Scope of work:

Set up and configure the existing Shopify theme
Create a clear and user-friendly store structure and navigation
Set up the main pages, e.g. Homepage, Shop, Collections, Product Pages, About, Contact
Set up header, footer, menus, and navigation
Create a consistent structure for product and collection pages
Configure essential Shopify settings and functionalities
Optimize the basic setup for desktop and mobile
Implement or recommend necessary Shopify apps, if required
Ensure basic SEO-friendly page structure
Prepare the store so that our team can easily add and maintain products and content
Provide a short handover/introduction to the Shopify setup

Branding, design direction, copy, and imagery will generally be provided by us. We are looking for someone who can translate these into a clean, functional, and well-structured Shopify store based on the existing theme.

Ideal experience: Strong Shopify experience, particularly in setting up and customizing existing themes, a good understanding of e-commerce UX, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Project goal: A fully structured and technically set-up Shopify store that is ready for us to populate with final content and products and can easily be managed by our team going forward.
