We are looking for an experienced Next.js and TypeScript developer to build Anjoma, a massive online automotive marketplace designed to become the “Amazon of car shopping.”
This is not a basic dealership website. We need a serious, highly polished and conversion-focused storefront that demonstrates the full potential of the platform to dealership managers and future partners. The design should feel trustworthy, modern and competitive with major automotive platforms such as CarGurus, Edmunds, Autotrader and Amazon Autos. These websites should be used for inspiration only and must not be copied.
PHASE ONE: DEMONSTRATION STOREFRONT
Our first goal is to build an impressive working storefront using Gardena Nissan as the example dealership. We will initially use realistic sample vehicle listings so dealership management can browse the website, test the customer journey and understand its potential.
The storefront must include:
* Premium, responsive homepage
* Large vehicle search experience
* New and used vehicle inventory pages
* Filters for make, model, year, price, mileage, body style and other important criteria
* Professional vehicle cards
* Individual vehicle-detail pages with photo galleries, pricing, specifications, features and dealership information
* Saved and recently viewed vehicles
* Vehicle comparison functionality
* “Check Availability,” “Schedule a Test Drive,” “Request Information” and “Get Pre-Approved” forms
* Strong calls to action designed to generate leads
* Excellent mobile, tablet and desktop layouts
* Fast loading, SEO-friendly pages
* Realistic sample Nissan inventory for the initial presentation
MULTI-DEALERSHIP INFRASTRUCTURE
Although Gardena Nissan will be the first example, the platform must be built from the beginning to support multiple dealerships.
The standardized vehicle database should support:
* Dealership ID
* VIN and stock number
* New or used status
* Year, make, model and trim
* Price, MSRP, discounts and mileage
* Exterior and interior colors
* Body style, drivetrain, transmission and fuel type
* Features and vehicle description
* Photo URLs
* Available, pending and sold statuses
* Created and last-updated timestamps
Each vehicle should be identified using the dealership ID and VIN together.
INVENTORY IMPORT SYSTEM
We are currently working on obtaining permission for automatic dealership inventory feeds. Until those connections are approved, the developer must build the infrastructure using sample listings and CSV uploads.
The inventory-import system must be separate and flexible enough to support:
* Manual vehicle entry
* CSV spreadsheet uploads
* JSON APIs
* XML inventory feeds
* SFTP files
* External vehicle-photo URLs
Later, dealership inventory will populate automatically through approved inventory providers. The website should not need to be rebuilt when we receive the official feed.
Imports must automatically:
* Add new vehicles
* Update existing listings
* Update prices, mileage, descriptions and photos
* Change vehicle availability
* Mark missing vehicles as sold
* Prevent duplicate listings
* Record import errors and last-updated times
DEALER AND ADMIN DASHBOARDS
Build a secure dashboard where dealerships can:
* View and manage inventory
* Upload CSV inventory files
* Add or edit vehicles manually
* View incoming customer leads
* See which vehicle produced each lead
* Configure dealership contact and lead-delivery information
* Review inventory synchronization status
The Anjoma administrator must be able to:
* Create and approve dealerships
* Manage dealership accounts
* Activate or deactivate inventory feeds
* View inventory across all dealerships
* Review import logs and failures
* Manage leads and platform settings
LEAD MANAGEMENT
Every customer inquiry must capture:
* Customer name
* Phone number and email address
* Vehicle, VIN and stock number
* Dealership ID
* Lead source
* Form type
* Customer consent
* Date and time submitted
For this first phase, do not connect to external dealership systems or send leads externally. Leads should remain securely inside the platform until we approve the external connection.
TECHNOLOGY
* Next.js
* TypeScript
* Secure and scalable database architecture
* Clean, maintainable and properly documented code
* Reusable components
* Responsive design
* Strong performance and technical SEO
* GitHub-based development
* We must own the complete source code and accounts
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We need a developer who is very strong in both frontend presentation and backend architecture. The storefront must look impressive enough to present professionally to dealership management, but the underlying inventory and lead systems must also be built correctly for future expansion.
Please apply only if you have experience building polished marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, automotive websites, large searchable catalogs or multi-vendor systems.
When applying, please include:
1. Examples of your best Next.js/TypeScript marketplace or e-commerce projects.
2. Your recommended technical architecture.
3. How you would structure the multi-dealership inventory importer.
4. Your estimated timeline and price for the first phase.
5. Confirmation that all source code and completed work will belong to us.
We are looking for someone who understands that this is the foundation of a large online automotive superstore—not a simple template dealership website.
