About Us
We are Ocado Group, and we're bringing world-class automation to online grocery. Our Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) combines cutting-edge robotics, AI, and IoT within our advanced CFCs (Customer Fulfilment Centres). We've mastered the single pick, transforming online delivery for our global partners. Join us and be part of a team pushing the boundaries of retail technology.
About the Role
Oracle EPM is the backbone of Ocado Group’s finance department. You'll lead the team who maintain, develop and control our Oracle EPM Cloud platform. You will own the EPM platforms and their roadmap, run a clear and well-governed change process and keep the controls environment audit-ready. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced organisation. As our use of data, automation and AI tooling evolves, you will help shape how EPM fits into that picture.
Main Responsibilities
Service ownership and platform health
Own the end-to-end EPM service
Ensure availability, performance and data integrity, including environment management (Development, UAT, Production) and management and testing of Oracle’s cloud updates.
Maintain tested disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical Finance activities
Roadmap, demand and change
Own the EPM change process and backlog, from request intake and business prioritisation through technical triage, design, build, testing, approval, release and sign-off.
Make sure the EPM estate is ready for budget cycles, chart of accounts changes and period-end deadlines, with clear plans and ownership.
Guide solution design and architecture for EPM changes
Track the Oracle EPM product roadmap and recommend when and how to adopt new capability
Controls, governance and risk
Act as the accountable owner for EPM IT general controls.
Own the EPM entries in the Finance Risk and Control Matrix (RACM)
About you
Significant experience owning or managing Oracle EPM Cloud
Proven experience leading a technical or application team
Experience with optimised calculation scripts and demonstrable knowledge of Essbase
Strong understanding of finance processes (budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, close) and of chart of accounts and hierarchy design
Experience running change, release and incident processes in a controlled environment
Working knowledge of IT general controls, access management and audit evidence requirements, ideally in a regulated or listed company
Experience managing suppliers and technology partners
Ability to explain technical topics clearly to Finance and non-technical audiences, and Finance topics clearly to technical teams
Strong planning and prioritisation skills
